"GI is ok. The only thing I don’t understand is why can you see your doctor instead of the nurse practitioner. Don’t get me wrong I really liked the Practitioner I saw.
And I told them I needed them to take a picture of my upper area. But they didn’t explain why they are not doing that. But over all I love GI ASSO."

"When I went into the waiting area it looked very busy and I expected a long wait, not so . The nurse was welcoming and professional. The Doctor was very quick to recognize my complaints.and give me answers I could actually understand. Tests and results were done without a long wait. Medication was prescribed. The pharmacy there at the facility was extremely helpful
in helping me, afford the high cost of my medication. Well staffed and well run."

"Enjoyed my visit. Ease of appointment setup and the appointment itself was great. The facility was clean and spacious enough to spread out.
I removed a star because of 1 person on staff. I stay about an hour away from everything, so I usually show up to my appointments early if traffic is smoother than expected. The lady at check-in wanted to make sure I knew I came early and that no one would see me before my scheduled appointment time. "You are aware that your appointment is at 2? It just turned 1." I didn't really reply at first because i was signing in, but she proceeded to state it again "You're early, no one will see you before your appointment time." While I was sitting there she called another man up to tell him the same thing. A woman came in and the same thing was repeated. The patient said she knew she was early, but she was informed to come about 30mins before her appointment (so technically she was only 15mins early).
Guess what? I was seen BEFORE my appointment time. I'm not sure if this is something that irritates her soul, but she didn't have to state it the way she did. I go to different doc offices a lot, and I'm usually early as stated above. I've never had an issue with coming early before."

"I had to have cat scan with contrast. I didn't have to wait long. Told nurse my veins were very small at beginning. First she tried around my elbow and made my fingers move and nerves were on fire. She told me I needed not to move my arm, well I didn't the reflex did. tried a second time in my hand, even worse make the rest of my fingers move, constrict and burn like lightening struck (I was crying). After that she got a second nurse who did great, one stick and she was in. Other that that I love the rest of the staff. I hope to never have to have another cat scan again. I realize I have very bad veins and I hope this helps the next person. As we get older our vein tend to disappear."

"Everyone was nice. The results of the procedure was explained to me. The only problem was they could not find a vein for the IV in my right arm and i was stuck 3 times and was left with a bruise. Finally a nurse came in that knew what she was doing and found a vein in my left arm."

"The recent visit was handled very well. However, when going to the pharmacy to get probiotics to help with the control of my issues, it was not a covered item of my insurance (at least that was what I was told).
During these difficult times and considering my physical conditions, I feel there should have been a way to allow the needed probiotics to be provided to me.
One other thing, why wasn't the visit an over the phone visit? There was nothing done that could not have been handled over the phone or via zoom office visit.
Meanwhile, I will like to thank the Doctors and other medical staff for their care and for doing a good job in what was done."

"The staff implemented and executed a safety routine to check in. I felt safe and informed at all times. My procedures were explained well and the follow up by the doctor was timely. The only reason that I did not give 5 stars is because it was difficult to find the prep solution and while the facility mentioned it I had great difficulty finding it because a substitution could not be made without the facility's request for substitutions. The manufacturer's failures are not the fault of the facility but it would have save a lot of stress had I been offered a alternative, preemptively."

"Nice new Enviroment friendly staff. Waited 30 minutes to see the nurse and was promptly moved to one of the Drs office. Within 15 minutes the doctor came and the initial consultation was approximately 7 minutes. Scheduling went smoothly and Pharmacy RX was ready to go within 10 minutes. Clear explanations"
"Admission procedure moves rather quickly but the wait to be called back is a little more lengthy. Once you're taken to surgery prep there's an even longer wait. BUT they have the best GI doctors available (I've tried others) so they're worth the wait. Dr. Williams is so caring, compassionate and understanding! She and the medical staff are five stars all the way!"
"Great experience from start to finish. Staff were very professional and courteous. The nurse provided additional support, information, and addressed any concerns. Even did a follow-up call on the next day! Dr. Reeves and the staff assisting with the procedure provided an environment that eased the anxiety. It was truly a pleasure to find that Dr. Reeves presented to the recovery room post-procedure to discuss procedure, any findings, and to address any additional concerns as well. Did not take as long as anticipated. Love this location (Flowood) too!"

"The reason it is 4 stars instead of 5 stars is G.I. Associates failure to update to offer patients a full online opportunity to pay bills. You have a choice of either pay by mail-in Check or call over the phone. Most other large G.I. clinics offer going to payment center online and paying through it. I don’t see why the clinic has not chosen to do the same."

"I was very pleased with the level of care I received at this facility. Beginning with the very friendly employee at the front desk at check-in. Wendy was my nurse and I send kudos to her for her kindness, warming demeanor and compassion. Dr Petro, I remembered her when she was a resident at UMMC and I scrubbed as a tech on surgical cases with her. It was a pleasure to see her again and how professional, thorough and caring she was during and after my procedure. It was also good to see a former co-worker (tech) Robin she's a good tech. "Flowood, MS location..Large waiting room, nice front desk workers, & clean bathroom. The nurse I had was extremely nice! She made me feel comfortable and at ease. The office is very clean and up to date. Didn’t wait long to see the doctor and he got right to the point. Dr.Kotfila was nice and professional. He got right down to the issue and started a plan for me. I enjoyed my visit to this location and was only there for about 1 hour."
