About Mabel Zevallos, M.D.
Dr. Mabel Zevallos joined GI Associates in 2014. A native of Lima, Peru, she graduated with honors from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos where she received her Doctor of Medicine degree.
She completed her Internal Medicine Residency, Chief Residency and Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellowship at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center, affiliated to Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York.
Prior to joining GI Associates in 2014, Dr. Zevallos practiced at SMRMC in McComb, MS and the Medical and Surgical Clinic of Irving in Dallas, TX.
Dr. Zevallos is Board Certified in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. She is affiliated with the American College of Gastroenterology, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and Mississippi State Medical Association.
Dr. Mabel Zevallos is married to Dr. G. Zevallos, an Internal Medicine Physician at St. Dominic’s Hospital, and has three daughters. They are active members of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Madison. Dr. Zevallos works as a part-time GI Hospitalist at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson where she is a consultant and performs different diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. She enjoys spending her free time with her family, traveling and participating in medical mission trips in Peru.
