GI Alliance COVID-19 Active Protective Measures In Place

In accordance with local and federal guidelines and that of the Center of Disease Control (CDC), we have put in place several measures to provide a safe environment for our gastrointestinal health services.

Are Gastrointestinal Clinics Open?
Each clinic and center will follow the direction of state officials as to the opening of our clinics, research facilities, and endosurgery centers. To check the specific status of a location, contact the staff directly here.COVID-19 Clinic Procedures

In-Clinics Are Being Cleaned
Each clinic and patient room is cleaned on a regular basis to decrease the risk of COVID-19. Individual patient areas are cleaned even more frequently.

What Should I Expect At The Clinic?
Although each location may have some variation to these procedures based on building waiting room and parking specifics, all clinics will be following the recommendations from the CDC as to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). That’s doctor-speak for masks and face shields 😉

Clinic staff will communicate with you prior to your visit, the specific protocols for your clinic.

We are closely monitoring guidelines from federal, state, and local health authorities and continuously reviewing our policies and protocols. Our safety protocols are consistent with best practices for hygiene, infection control, and medical professional team health. Our highest priority is to keep all of our patients and staff as safe as possible.

At the recommendation of the CDC, we will be taking patient temperatures upon arrival. We ask all patients to consider these screening questions before leaving their residence as they will be asked prior to admitting anyone into our facility:

  • Have you been exposed to a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the last 14 days?
  • Have you had new onset of the following symptoms over the last 14 days: cough, shortness of breath, chills, muscle aches, headache, sore throat, loss of taste or smell?
  • If you answered yes to any of the above questions, please call us prior to your appointment.

Should you respond “yes” to either question when you arrive at our facility, you will be asked to return to your vehicle and to call us for a telephone assessment to reduce potential exposure to others.

To help protect other patients and our staff, you will also be asked to wear a mask to your appointment, and visitors will not be permitted to accompany patients inside unless required.

Thank you for your continued trust and cooperation as we work together to reduce the risks for all our patients.
